This is the first wedding I've been to that had Brides-Fairies...in fact THE only wedding that's had them. I have to say though, they do make a lovely alternative to having bridesmaids! :) Let me share Peter and Katy's amazing wedding at Shooters Hill Hall from last summer with you.
Peter Walker is an international sculptor and artist, based in Shrewsbury. Peter and Katy fell in love with Shooters Hill Hall when they met with Ishbel to talk about his amazing sculptures, which can be seen in the following photos.
Katy looked beautiful in her wedding dress from Wedding World and her hair and makeup was courtesy of the lovely Laura Baxter.
Shooters Hill Hall is a beautiful Regency mansion in Shropshire - the perfect venue for a country wedding. The Hall has been elegantly refurbished by Ishbel and Richard MacInnes-
It really was a wonderful day. Peter and Katy are so much fun to be with. We were made to feel so welcome...we felt like old friends. The food was just amazing - if you're looking for a caterer take a look at Cheryl Jayne Catering. The fantastic live music was by the awesome Two Blank Pages.
Peter and Katy also did a 'first look' which is very popular in America. This is when the bride and groom see each other just before the ceremony. It's such a special moment when the groom sees his bride-to-be in her wedding dress for the first time...and the traditionalists amongst you will probably think the moment should be kept for the ceremony itself.
There was also a bit of a twist to the confetti shots! See below...
Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day. Check out the amazing light show at the end.
